Female Body Building – A Great Way To Lose Weight Fast

Many women hesitate to take up bodybuilding because they do not want to develop bulky muscles and hate the thought of not looking feminine.  However, bodybuilding is a great way to help women lose weight and look great.  If weight lifting is not overdone, it will tone muscles, and firm up your abdomens, legs and buns.  A physically fit and toned woman has a truly sexy body.

If you are anxious to lose weight and have gone on diet after diet without any lasting effect, you need to consider bodybuilding.  Combining weight lifting with aerobic exercise along with dieting can create the slim, fat free body you are looking for in a shorter period of time.

The true secrete to weight loss is pretty simple.  You have to burn more calories than you take in.  If you eat 2,000 calories a day and burn only 1,800 calories, you will gain weight.  If this goes on long enough, you will gain a lot of weight.

However, if you burn 2,200 calories a day while only eating 2,000 calories, you will lose weight.  And if this goes on long enough, you will lose a lot of weight.

Dieting by itself usually will not succeed.  It also doesn’t matter what diet supplements you take either, you will not lose the weight you want if you don’t include exercise in the mix.  This is because muscle burns calories faster than stored fat cells.  The more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism and the faster you will burn the excess calories.

Obviously, we are not recommending that you spend hours every day at the gym, who has the time for that?  But a short, simple workout with free weights or home gym two or three times a week will boost your metabolism and help you lose weight faster.

You should vary your workout.  Concentrating on just one exercise will overdevelop one muscle group and leave the other muscle groups underdeveloped, which can lead to injuries as well as other numerous problems.  One time you should work on your back, the next work on your legs and buns, the next time abs and arms.  You should also mix in aerobic exercise to develop lung power and stamina.

Not only will the exercise help you lose weight and keep it off, it will help you ward off illnesses and when you do catch a cold, you recover much more quickly than if you were physically out of shape.

So don’t be afraid to take up bodybuilding as a hobby.  No one expects you to become the next female Arnold Schwarzenegger, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the numerous compliments you’ll get when you shape up and tone up with bodybuilding.
